Welcome to Cocker Spaniels by Kellie Jo-Ann. Anyone that knows me, knows that I am a huge animal lover, especially with dogs. I have created a small business dedicated to breeding healthy, happy and highly sought after Cocker Spaniel puppies. My main purpose is to breed the perfect family dog for anyone young and old, single or to a family wishing to own a forever happy and loving companion. Growing up with animals all my life, and breeding mice when I was only 10 years old I knew I had a passion for caring, nurturing and just loving animals. I have always had a nurturing personality which explains why I became a Registered Nurse, my career in Nursing has developed and refined my skills which I bring along with my breeding program. I have found that what makes me truly happy and what still remains my ultimate passion is to bring happiness to people with these beautiful pets. Since owning a Cocker Spaniel myself I believe they are the perfect breed for any family. Cocker Spaniels have wonderful temperaments and are extremely popular for good reason. We really look forward to helping you welcome your new furry friend from our family to yours. 

Being a registered breeder gives families the peace of mind that we adhere to strict practices which are in place to ensure the wellbeing of the dogs and provide those purchasing from us with reassurance that all steps have been taken to guarantee the health of the pup. All of our puppies will be raised in a clean home environment, well socialised with other animals and children, basic toilet training and a puppy curriculum will be followed before leaving to their new forever homes, ready to leave by 8 weeks of age they will have had their first Vet Health Checks, 1st Vaccination, Wormed as per veterinary requirements and additionally your new puppy will come with a take home Puppy Pack. 

All our parents are DNA tested to ensure our puppies won’t be affected by testable diseases. A copy of the parents DNA report will be included in your puppies folder.

We ensure our fur parents are healthy and fit to breed but please know we cannot 100% guarantee a perfect healthy puppy. We recommend getting pet insurance as soon as you get a puppy to help cover any unexpected costs or accidents that may occur.

Cocker spaniels enjoy attention, so this is a breed for people who like to lavish affection on their pets. They are average shedders. They do have an elaborate coat, which requires grooming at least a couple of hours weekly to keep it in good shape. Some professional trimming from time to time is needed. Avoid exercising cocker spaniels in places with burrs and thickets that can tangle their coat. Cocker spaniels can adapt to living just about anywhere, as long as they are given daily walks on a leash or are allowed to have play sessions in a fenced yard. Remember, they are primarily an active sporting breed.
